Location:
Mainly in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei and Shanxi provinces of China.

Invigorate the spleen and kidney, tonify qi and induce tranquilization.
Dosage and Adminstrations:
Decoct 6~15 g, or made into pill or powder or soaked in wine. Proper dosage is for external application, pounded into powder for applying.

Ⅵ. What's Siberian Ginseng Root
Siberian Ginseng,with the botanical name Eleutherococcus senticosus,is a species of small, woody shrub in the family Araliaceae native to Northeastern Asia.It may be colloquially called Ci Wu Jia,Radix Acanthopanacis Senticosi,刺五加.Eleutherococcus senticosus has a history of use in folklore and traditional Chinese medicine.
Root extracts of Eleutherococcus senticosus are sold as a dietary supplement or cosmetic, usually under the name Siberian ginseng.Siberian ginseng is often called an “adaptogen.”
In addition to being used as an adaptogen, Siberian ginseng is used for conditions of the heart and blood vessels such as high blood pressure, low blood pressure, hardening of the arteries (atherosclerosis), and rheumatic heart disease.
It is also used for kidney disease, Alzheimer’s disease, attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, flu, colds, chronic bronchitis, and tuberculosis. It is also used for treating the side effects of cancerchemotherapy.
Some people use Siberian ginseng to improve athletic performance and the ability to do work. They also use it to treat sleep problems (insomnia) and the symptoms of infections caused by herpes simplex type 2.
It is also used to boost the immune system, prevent colds, and increase appetite.
Ⅶ. Benefits And Dosage of Siberian Ginseng Root
Siberian Ginseng Root is similar to common ginseng in its properties and alleged effects; however, documentation is limited. Extracts of Siberian Ginseng Root have been used for a wide variety of therapeutic purposes and are said to have an adaptogenic effect. It exhibits cardiovascular as well as mood- and energy-enhancing effects.
Dosage:
Doses of powdered Siberian Ginseng Root 1 to 4 g per day have been used in trials. Doses of Siberian Ginseng Root extracts are recommended at less than 1 g/day. Limited trials have been conducted in elderly patients and in children.
Ⅷ. What are the side effects of taking Siberian Ginseng Root
When taken by mouth: Baikal skullcap is possibly safe for most adults when taken for up to 8 weeks. It might cause stomach pain, constipation, vomiting, and stomach upset.
When applied to the skin: There isn't enough reliable information to know if Baikal skullcap is safe or what the side effects might be.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding: There isn't enough reliable information to know if Baikal skullcap is safe to use when pregnant or breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.
Bleeding disorders. Baikal skullcap might slow blood clotting. In theory, Baikal skullcap might increase the risk of bruising and bleeding in people with bleeding disorders.
Hormone-sensitive condition such as breast cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer, endometriosis, or uterine fibroids: Baikal skullcap might have the same effects as estrogen. If you have any condition that might be made worse by estrogen, don't use Baikal skullcap.
Surgery: Baikal skullcap might slow blood clotting. It might cause extra bleeding during and after surgery. Stop using Baikal skullcap at least 2 weeks before a scheduled surgery.
