Flax Lignans are an extract from the hull of the flaxseed, and have been long studied in the scientific community as a potential immune system builder and all natural health stimulator. Lignans are one of the two major classes of phytoestrogens; the other class is the isoflavones. Plant lignans are polyphenolic substances derived from phenylalanine via dimerzation of substituted cinnamic alcohols.
